The Brother Brothers
TWIN BROTHERS ADAM AND DAVID MOSS ARE A MUSICAL DUO UNLIKE MOST
The sibling sound of The Brother Brothers is striking and undeniably captivating. At times leaning towards the darker elements of Appalachian, klezmer, and bluegrass traditions, their songs are laden with near perfect sibling harmonies or unison singing, compelling writing, and imaginative arrangements. The acoustic duo features David on cello and guitar and Adam on the 5-string fiddle. Both with individual storied careers in the Americana music scene, the Moss brothers are now finally teaming up to bring their experiences together.
The Brother Brothers have been in this together for life, and their familial connection comes through in the music, harkening back to some of the greatest family harmonies ever made. They approach their poignant and often charming songs with an almost
startling sense of ease, and the tight harmonies are enough to send shivers down anyones spine. Their ability to pull the listener into their quietly energetic musical journey is a joy to behold. I cant wait to be out on the road with Adam & David and hear their heart wrenching songs and spot on harmonies night after night! -Sarah Jarosz
"They're the real deal. They know old-time two part harmony from the inside, and that fraternal resonance is there to be clearly heard." -Mark Simos (Allison Krauss, Del McCoury)
Opening for The Brother Brothers is Letitia VanSant, a singer-songwriter known for her distinctly intimate voice and sincere stage presence. Whether she is performing solo or backed up by a three-piece band, VanSant's sound ranges from stripped-down indie folk to gritty Americana. Her lyrics ask spiritual questions about human nature and justice.
After the creation of her debut album in 2012, she became a favorite of local Baltimore radio station 89.7 WTMD, and listeners voted her song song "Rising Tide" among the most popular of the year. She won the gold medal for the folk/acoustic category in the 2016 Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest, and is a 2017 Kerrville New Folk Finalist.
